Actually The Bill Richard's Town Park is right next to Blydenburg County park wich is open during the day, and has camp grounds as well.. It has 2 gates and side paths for horses and hiking..
The Lake is in Blydenburg (sry dont rly kno how to spell it). Although a portion is in the Bill Richards Town Park. Both used to open to each other untill they built a fence and closed the gate between them.. Both are extreamly nice places, i ride my bike in there alot.. There is also Hidden Pond Park wich has some trails, i dont kno if its open to public anymore tho. The last place i can think of is also Caleb Smith Preserve.. It has a lake, and a HUGE Tree, really good hikes and history in there :)

If you are a Smithtown resident you can use Bill Richard's town park (old Green Gate Park) on Vets Highway, across the street from the Dennison Bldg. Good park for a walk through the woods. Great lake with ducks, swans. You can also walk around the lake. Bring old shoes, gets muddy and wet along the walk. Also a great place to walk is Hoyt Farm which is on New Highway in Commack. Free to Smithtown residents. Great play ground for kids, new water park for kids as well. Huge picnic area, ball field, camping grounds for Boy Scouts, nature trails, they also have caged animals (pig, cow, horse, chickens) a museum, etc. Great place to walk. Smithtown has two decent beaches, Long Beach and Short Beach. They are on the LI Sound, small beach areas, very rocky, small waves. Again if you a town of Smithtown resident you can use Smithtown Landing for the use of there pools in the summer. Sign up for a card right at Smithtown Landing. If you are in Islip I am no use to you.

I'm a fairly new Hauppauge resident, and I'm trying to find information on which parks, beaches, and hiking facilities I'm entitled to use. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I want to contact a newspaper,TV station and or Radio Station in your area that covers consumer news. I dont live in New York but have a story regarding a business located there.
Who in th media covers the area the most? thanks!
